A fine-grained pigment made from real metal. Since metal pigment is not stable in aqueous solutions, it can be mixed into resins or solvent-based paints, varnishes, or sprayed onto sticky surfaces. The surface will shine very nicely, looking like real metal.

It is often used to imitate precious metals or to create a shimmering effect in mixed media and scrapbooking projects. It can also be used in aqueous media when mixed with pigment fixer, but the mixture must be used immediately.

Add the pigment fixer to the pigment powder in small amounts until the desired consistency is achieved, then apply to the surface with a brush or sponge brush.
